Marconi is thriving in our new digs in Mount Dora (since January). He’s 20 months old now.
Although he doesn’t have the hype of the horse farm in our old neighborhood, he’s getting along quite well in the country club life with his new friends in our new neighborhood (Abby a demure little sheltie – he loves to show off in front of her — he’s such a dude!, High Test & Diesel – two black labs that challenge him on every encounter, and many other canines – which he chooses to like – or dislike on any given day).
He’s happy and healthy and is given to doggie talk ie.. low howl/growl murmur while I’m reading or watching TV……..(sounds a lot like Chubakka from Star Wars ) – his way of telling me how his day went.
He’s also very well in tune with his daily routine… as an example… every since we got him (just over a year ago), he seems to crash around 8:00 PM… and ever since we talk to him around that time and ask him if he wants to go to bed. He gets up… walks over to his bed (nice place in the pantry), and settles down for the night. He gets a cookie and we huggie/kiss.. then it’s off to sleepy-land. He doesn’t get up until around 6:00 AM.– every night — same routine. it’s amazing!
He’s really an amazingly intelligent pup — and best of all, he’s so good with our grandkids, so very gentle and a great play pal.
Marconi — we LOVE YOU!
This is Sadie, my Rough Collie – probably the sweetest most affectionate dog you’ll ever find. And today she is eight years old (Born on 1-17-2002 in New Smyrna Beach, FL). Yesterday was her annual visit to the vet, and except for a bit of an eye problem, she’s doing extremely well. According to the chart that was on the wall in the vet’s office, she’s about 51 in dog years, but she hasn’t slowed down at all. She’s got lots of spunk and looks forward to playing Frisbee (with a flippy-flopper) a couple of times a day. She gets plenty of exercise. Today she’s get a cup of “Frosty Paws” for desert (doggie ice cream).
I started this blog 566 days ago and today it has seen 50,000 hits. I have made many new friends from this blog and I’m thankful for finding and knowing them. Many THANKS to all those readers who flock around my site, some before starting work early in the morning, some later – it has been your support which has brought me here and I appreciate your interest.
In the last few months I added links to some stylish gents that I list as “The Trad Men”. Some great people with varying points of view on anything from what your shoes are made of to how to make the best doggone pancakes in the land. I love reading their blogs and appreciate their comments.
I’ve met so many great photographers – most of them so much better than I am at the craft. I get an immense amount of pleasure from shooting just about anything, and have learned a great deal about the post-process work flow that make a good photo a great photo – I’m still learning! Thanks to all of you photographers out there – professionals and amateurs — you inspire and motivate me to click-click-click.

This is where I do my work, surf the net, post blogs, read, watch tv/movies. I’m looking for a big leather chair to complete the setting.
Her Royal Highness – Princess Sadie of Sorrento (FL USA).
Strikes a dashing pose doesn’t she?
