1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk
This Golden Hawk was in terrific shape. Beautifully restored (I think). For me its hard to determine if some of the car went through major restoration – some of them looked as though they just rolled off the retro assembly line. Enjoy.
03/16/2008 – I’m adding another pic of this Studebaker.

1957 Ford Fairlane Convertible
This was a nice, immaculate example of a “classic car”. It is my #2 choice for best in show. Absolutely beautiful.
This car didn’t have the retractable top, but I thought you all would get a kick out of this commercial with two people that you know very well.

1948 Lincoln – Big Iron
When I saw this car, I was amazed at how ‘big’ it was… it just seemed huge to me. Nice car though, and very luxurious. I imaged that a female – 1940s movie star rode around in this. (Turner Classic Movies). Hope you like it. I did a smidgen of photo magic.. but not much.

Nice Buick – 1962 Invicta Convertible
I’ve always liked Buicks. This is a classic from 1962. Hope you like it.
When I was in high school, my friend’s parents had a 1962 Buick Electra Convertible – White with Red Leather Interior. It was beautiful. This same friend – his Dad had a 1962 Buick Invicta 2Dr Coupe (beige) as a company car. I think they were a Buick family.

Classic Mustangs
There were a number of Mustangs at The Villages Cruise-In. Here are a few. I wish I had better shots – but there was such a crowd there that day. I guess if I’m going be any kind of photographer – I need to get a little “pushy” and make sure I “get the shot!”
Hope you enjoy these.

Coming this weekend – Classic Cars – Best in Show
I had a lot of fun with the classic cars series that I’ve posted over the past week. I enjoyed taking the pictures, studying them, performing a bit of photo magic with software. I’m new at photography, so I’ve learned an awful lot. I love cars.
Anyway – - – this weekend I’m going to post what I thought was the BEST in SHOW from my shoot at The Villages in Florida. And no, its not a dog named Uno !
Here’s a sliver of a preview for you. Please check back with me soon.
PS – I love the “blue” in this car. Just wait til you see the whole car!!!

No fizz left
These are some metal soft drink signs that one would find nailed to the outside of a corner grocery store, or pharmacy, or even a barn or gas station. I remember the ribbed Orange Crush bottles, but I never heard of Topp Cola.
