In the Band

with 2 comments

That’s my grandson in the middle of this photo.  It’s his first year in his high school band.  I think it’s going to be a great experience for him.  Belonging to a group that makes a difference in music – their sound is incredible.   I heard it for the first time at the high school’s first football game of the season.  Terrific!

I was sitting in the stands watching the game and was envious of their youth, their strength, and the adventure coming up for the next four years – then – what after that?  College of course, but then there’s more life ahead.  Have you ever wanted to rewind and start again?

  1. great portrait dad! i love how he’s the only one looking at you

have you ever played around with depth of field? making it shallower for effect? in this case, having andrew in focus while all the other kids are more out of focus could be REALLY cool.
