Things that caught my eye

with one comment

A few things that caught my eye last weekend while walking around the Antique Boat Show in Tavares, FL.

Take a look —

Austin Healey 3000

Nothing like a Healey to stir the male nerve – a good looker for sure

Nice woodie

Nice Plymouth woodie on the grass

Grille view

Nice use of chrome

Whine  Wine

At least we think so —

The last one

The end

Neither Out Far Nor In Deep

The people along the sand

All turn and look one way.
They turn their back on the land.
They look at the sea all day.

As long as it takes to pass
A ship keeps raising its hull;
The wetter ground like glass
Reflects a standing gull

The land may vary more;
But wherever the truth may be–
The water comes ashore,
And the people look at the sea.

They cannot look out far.
They cannot look in deep.
But when was that ever a bar
To any watch they keep?

Mark’s Bird

with 3 comments

My son and his family went up to the Florida panhandle for some R & R in early April.  Either Mark or Brenda took this photo of a bird with a fresh catch.  I’ve been having some fun with Topaz Adjust – post processing software.

A bit garish, but also very Florida.

Duck on the water

with 5 comments

I’m doing a photo assignment at Scott Thomas’ blog .  The topic is WATER.

Duck at home

I chose this photo because I thought (ready for this) the water was wetter!  If you can imagine such a thing.  I hope the photo shows what I mean.
