Extending photographic techniques

with 11 comments

I found some excellent tutorials on HDR (High Definition Range) photography and I used them on some of my favorite photos.  I’m reposting – I hope you can see the difference and that it’s pleasing.

Rememberance of Summer

with 7 comments

I’ve been fooling around with HDR post-processing again.  Please excuse me if the results are too rough for your eyes  – but in this photo (taken last summer on Anna Maria Island), the blue in this scene makes me realize why I love the color blue so much.  Hopefully I’ll improve my skills here.  Let me know if you like it or hate it -(I can take it – you wouldn’t believe the crap I take on a daily basis at work).

T-Bird Crusin’ and the Rod and Reel Pier

with 4 comments

Still working with some post-processes.  I took this photo at The Village in FL in 2008.  Just playing around with some of the Adobe techniques.  These two guys look like they’re reliving their youth a bit.

This is the Rod and Reel pier on Anna Maria Island.  Snapped this past August and then I played around with HDR technique.

Beach chairs

The temperature here in Florida is beginning to come down just a bit.  It was around 85 degrees this afternoon.  This photo was taken this summer on Anna Maria Island – these two chairs – gazing out over the beautiful water toward the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

For reference, these two chairs are on the very sandy tip at the bottom of the island in the photo below.  As you can see, this is a magical place.  Skip Disney and come visit sometime – you won’t regret it.

Something about boats and sailing

While on Anna Maria, I ran across this yacht dealer and looked over some of his offering.  This, I guarantee you was just a fantasy adventure.

Would have made a lovely sail —

Adeline would suit me well, I’m sure!!  A beautiful sailing vessel.

Cortez 4This love knot would have you in pain very soon!  I couldn’t believe it was still afloat.

Cortez 5And there’s something nice about a power boat too.  Sure looks nice, eh?

I didn’t buy – I’m sure I’ll sleep well.
