TooJay’s in Chevy Town
TooJay’s Gourmet Deli is a wonderful Jewish Deli-Restaurant in Central Florida. Love the potato pancakes, love the corned beef sandwiches. Breakfast and brunch are crowded for a good reason – it’s wonderful!
These Chevys were clean and lean. Great looking cars and fun to watch and remember past times and think about who had this car when you were a kid, or a young adult – or “My Dad had one of these!”
I rendered these in “grunge” – i thought it was the best fit.
Oldies – Buddy Holley and WVLG
I found out the true spelling of Buddy Holly’s name was actually HOLLEY.
anyway —
Spent some time up in The Village last week, and snapped a few shots thereabouts. I never paid much attention to Buddy Holley until just recently and one of his really great songs is linked here as well. True Love Ways was also done by the Mavericks and Cliff Richard – both do excellent version of this classic.
Have a great weekend!
Frank Sinatra’s 1955 Ford Thunderbird
This was one of the special cars at The Villages Cruise In this past weekend. Hope you enjoy the photos.
This car was owned by Capitol Records Company and bought specifically for Frank Sinatra on September 29, 1955 (I believe it is a 1955 model year Thunderbird). Shipped to the Fountainebleau Hotel ( Fountain Blue Hilton Resort Miami ), Miami Beach, FL October 3, 1955.
Used as a courtesy car for recording artist and movie stars, etc. it was sold in 1963 to Cecil Ford, of Miami Beach, FL
